Jane Waring - Partner

Jane graduated from university with a first class honours degree in law and was awarded the Watson and Esam Prize work in the Law Clinic. Jane went on to achieve a commendation in the post graduate diploma in law from Nottingham Law School.

Jane’s expertise lays in the issues associated with setting up and running SME's; namely company, employment, commercial property and contract law. Jane applies her experience to both the commercial and not for profit sectors.

Jane is the former Vice Chair of Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce. As such Jane was actively involved in developing and lobbying on behalf of the business community. Other roles within the Chamber include, Red Tape working group vice chair, and chairing the Representation Council. Jane works closely with the local SME's regarding red tape issues and policy development for SME's. Jane was a nominee in both the 2006 and 2007 ATHENA awards recognising leadership skills in business.

Whilst at university Jane raised funds to set up a Law Centre in Rotherham. The Centre was the first in the country to receive the Law Society quality award, Lexcel. This made the Law Centre one of three organisations in Rotherham holding the sought after quality mark. Jane’s work with the not for profit sector means that she has an in depth knowledge of the various legal structures in the sector, governance, funding, volunteering, and the procurement agenda.
